Straight off the mx70. Used the stems from Fresh Baked Breaks

Plated in some Rhodes, Juno 60 & Mellotron.... Bass is the Fender Jazz. Effects from raw spring reverb tanks an Echoplex ep3 and a Memory man delay.
Been experimenting with playing keys/synth thru the bass amp (Old Sunn 190b into an Ampeg cab) trying to get a little tube color on the keys and some texture from the mic and preamp (57 & old modded up dukane pre) I dig it. Its a vintagy type of thing, Might try this sm7b on the cab though the 57 is a bit nasal. Goes well with the Tape and this Console im working on (modded Pm1000).
Signal flow.... I record thru an assortment of old preamps (Dukane, ADM, Jbl/Urie etc...) to a set of UAD apollos (a 8 and an x8) Arrange and edit itb, Then record that to my tape machine to give it life. Tape machine feeds this Yamaha PM1000. Running effect sends to this Mixwizard WZ16:2 (mixwiz has 6 sends and I can put the return from my fx on channels without eating up space on the PM. The direct outs from the PM (Mod) feed this Neve 8816 summing mixer. The Neve does mid/side and some other cool mastering section stuff (stereo widener, parallel processing on the busses etc.) from there its an old Meyer CP10 stereo eq (7 band para running in mid side because of the neve) and a set of Calrec bus comps (neve diode style) in serial for weight/glue. I come off the calrecs and drive/clip (1-2db on Drum peaks) my ad converter (Burl B2 bomber). Whats coming off the Burl is exactly what you're hearing. Recording the digital inputs direct to the video.
Couple people asked what I was running in here. Figured why not lay it all out.
As always

OG Yasuke brings a plethora of harmonic textures and deep hypnotic pockets.

Way of Life is outstanding. The sample selection matches the drums perfectly, and the effects accent everything. My favorite track on the project. Ossim Jones
